The Executive Committee of the World Forum on Theology and Liberation (WFTL) has issued a powerful statement addressing the deeply troubling patterns of abuse of power and sexual harassment within academic institutions, specifically in light of recent revelations about the Centre for Social Studies (CES) at the University of Coimbra, Portugal.

This statement reaffirms our unwavering commitment to justice, solidarity with survivors, and the urgent need to dismantle patriarchal structures that perpetuate such abuses. In a world where organizations, including those dedicated to social justice, often fail to align their practices with their principles, we are compelled to speak out and act.
